Everyone deserves a drug-free childhood.
The BOLD (Building Our Lives Drug Free) Coalition believes in a future where drugs no longer act as the mold for youth to fit in. Our organization aims to redefine the perceptions of society towards of substance use into one that conveys what drugs actually do: ruins if not outright take lives.
A Hard Fight
The National Institute of Drug Abuse has reported a steady decline in alcohol and tobacco use among high school students, an encouraging trend that began since the late 90s. But, a consistent portion of 8th to 12th graders remain involved in the use of illicit drugs.
We still have a long way to go, and if the country is to finally rid its youth of the influence of substance use, we will need your help; not only for the high school students, but for every single minor at risk of falling into a drug-reliant life.
A Resolute Cause
By conducting a range of comprehensive awareness campaigns and youth-empowering projects, we at the BOLD Coalition have made leaps and bounds towards making Fall River a safer city and a better place to be a parent. Whether you are a mom, a dad, a teacher, a doctor, a social worker, or just a concerned citizen, we can work together in promoting positive change within and around our community.
The approach towards minimizing the influence of drugs and alcohol have on our children needs to be as inclusive as it is effective. From classrooms to courtrooms, our efforts have gone a long way in preventing substance use from destroying countless lives.
No future should start at the flick of a lighter or at the bottom of a bottle. Volunteer today.
